We are currently hiring for a projects and quotations coordinator. The
successful incumbent will deal with a technical client base to facilitate the
vetting and quotation of “Special Product Requests”. This will include liaising
with engineering on design, costing, and quotation of these items. This role
will be responsible for procurement of materials applicable to each project and
assigned vendor portfolios.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process Special Pricing Requests and prepare quotes to distributors and
clients
- Obtain current cost and market information in order to calculate accurate
pricing
- Determine delivery based on customer requirement and production capability
- Provide technical support on pricing and products to sales, branches and
other departments
- Manage projects and product lines outside of the scope of our Customer Care
department based on size and complexity
- Support the Victaulic Product Delivery System by maintaining a proactive and
integrated communication flow with Sales and customers regarding customer
service issues.
- Liaise with Sales and other departments on customer matters (pricing, orders,
shipping, delivery, invoicing)
- Maintain current documentation and files as per established procedures and
policies.
- Utilize the Continuous Improvement Process to fulfill the responsibilities of
the position and improve work processes
- Assist in various tasks, projects and responsibilities as assigned by
Supervisor.
- Develop and maintain Victaulic suppliers for assigned portfolio, including
but not limited to finished goods, component parts and production services
while establishing and maintaining quality, service and cost benchmarks
- Issue Purchase Orders as required by Kanban and MRP/MPS reports
- Analyze requisitions, specifications and appropriate system reports to
determine required quantities and delivery dates and communicate technical
and logistical requirements to internal clients
- Review prices and Terms & Conditions of purchase orders ensuring compliance
with Victaulic contracts, policies and guidelines
- Track deliveries for material and liaison with appropriate internal and
external resources as required to meet established requirement commitments
- Respond to expedite requests for related portfolio items and provide
applicable delivery status and status information
- As required develop and present recommended Supply Chain solutions in clear,
concise and effective manner to Leadership in an effort to gain understanding
and support
Education and Skill Requirement:
- University degree or college diploma in business studies, procurement or
supply chain preferred, and equivalent work experience considered an asset
- Minimum 3-5 years’ Experience in customer service and/or procurement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Organization and time management skills
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Applications including; Excel, Word, Power
Point, Access, and MS Project
- Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
- Preferred ability to read technical prints and drawings
Salary: $70k+ (based on experience)
