The Experience Research team at Asana is focused on understanding the dynamics
of modern work, the role technology plays, and how Asana can empower teams to
thrive in a collaborative environment. Our work informs teams at every level of
the company and drives key roadmap decisions. We partner with Product Design,
Product Management, Data Science, Engineering, business, and Marketing teams to
get deep insights about our customer's behaviors and attitudes, translating them
into actionable recommendations across the company. We think big about new
areas, test developing concepts, and evaluate products and services once they’ve
rolled out.

experience crafting and delivering a wide range of research and can balance
rigor with experimentation. You’ll be joining with a design-research focus on
the UXR team whose mission is to drive meaningful business impact by deeply
understanding our customers' needs, behaviors, and challenges. Your research
will inform the evolution of our product experience.
This role is based in our Vancouver office with an office-centric hybrid
schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most
Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on
Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner.

What you’ll achieve:
- Identify and prioritize research needs in partnership with product teams
- Through your research and leadership skills, ensure that we ship meaningful,
informed product experiences that meet customer needs and achieve business
goals
- Focus on tactical, co-design, and usability research to deliver high-impact
results
- Coach and consult with cross-functional partners on driving their own
high-quality research
- Conduct moderated and unmoderated rapid research studies in quick sprints to
gather user feedback throughout development
- Attend design crits and reviews, bringing a customer empathy lens to those
conversations and identifying research opportunities before they're formally
requested
About you:
- 5+ years of experience practicing UX Research for digital products
- Experience with a qualitative and quantitative research methods applied
across the product development cycle, including but not limited to prototype
and usability testing and auditing, expert reviews, co-design, contextual
inquiry, journey mapping, and tree-testing
- Strong product judgement and able to distill findings into actionable product
recommendations with low/no polish deliverables and durable frameworks
- Quickly build trust and rapport with stakeholders at every level
- Knowledge of information architecture, design principles and content strategy
for both web and mobile
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at various
stages in the research cycle
- Skilled presenter and persuasive communicator
- Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a
willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity,
collaboration, or decision-making.

compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market
value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're
committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct
a yearly pay equity audit.
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $132,000 - $168,000
CAD. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market
and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role
may be modified.

components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and
