Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our dynamic team in Wealth Management Global IT Data Services. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale projects and programs, leveraging Java and database technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Kafka, Snowflake, and In-Memory distributed databases (MemSQL), SQL Server. Provide information on the detailed technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Apply experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments. What you will do Design and Development of small to large applications and programs, ensuring design, reusability, defect free and timely completion Identify, track, and resolve technical issues, and develop/recommend mitigation strategies to ensure successful solution development and delivery Collaborate with other teams to create new and modify existing database or infrastructure objects based on required functionality Participate in walkthrough reviews of technical design, specifications, programs, and unit test plans Assist DevOps/support teams in troubleshooting high-priority implementation issues, production investigations, and other activities What you need to succeed Must Have 5 years of Java/SpringBoot/Kafka/SQL experience in a Financial Services or FinTech firm working in a DevOps environment 3 years of Python and Stone Branch experience Experience developing API/Web Services, REST, Messaging-based Applications (Kafka, MQ, Kubernetes) Experience with Enterprise applications and Systems (Traditional RDBMS, In-Memory distributed databases, SQL Server) Experience with Containerization and DevOps/automation methods/tools (Openshift, Docker) Experience with mainstream programming languages (Java) and scripting languages Experience with multiple platforms (Unix/Linux, Windows) in both Agile and Waterfall environments Extensive experience in Database Query performance tuning Must be able to scale up swiftly on enterprise tools Nice to Have: Exposure to development and support of applications, especially integration technology (IBM Integration Bus, App Connect Enterprise, DataStage, IBM MQ) Prior experience managing teams and cross-commit projects What’s in it for you?
