identifying and implementing new opportunities and solutions. We partner with
teams across the company to improve the profitability, scalability and
defensibility of our business model. We're looking for strategic thinkers who
can model the future, solve complex problems, and collaborate effectively to
help carry projects from conception through execution.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for someone who will help guide our strategy in Canada. You will
be the strategic advisor to important partners across DoorDash to ensure we are
making the most efficient investment and capital allocation decisions while
improving the experience for all of our marketplace participants. You will lead
financial reporting, forecasting, and planning, and will guide financial
insights and direction for all of our operational decisions and strategies.
You will report to VP, Finance & Strategy. We expect this role to be hybrid with
some time in-office and some time remote.
YOU’RE EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE YOU WILL…
- Own the full P&L, with a deep understanding of the key drivers to
strategically balance growth and profitability
- Tackle complex operational challenges by partnering closely with
cross-functional teams across Finance (Accounting, Analytics, BI) and beyond
(Operations, Product, Marketing, Legal) to drive data-informed decisions and
high-impact investments
- Lead weekly financial reporting and forecasting, as well as quarterly
planning, acting as the go-to expert on business performance
- Identify and evaluate key risks and opportunities, build business cases and
investment proposals, and ensure effective execution of strategic initiatives
WE’RE EXCITED ABOUT YOU BECAUSE…
- 12+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment
Banking, or Consulting, ideally within high-growth tech or large, established
companies
- A proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive strong decision-making
in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Deep experience owning budgets and managing P&Ls across various business
dimensions such as markets, verticals, and products
- Demonstrated leadership managing high-performing teams, juggling multiple
priorities, and partnering with senior leadership
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with a track record of building
robust models that inform business strategy and evaluate the financial impact
of new initiatives
- Hands-on experience working with analytics tools and large datasets to
uncover actionable insights and drive a deeper understanding of the business
