Summary Senior Product Manager, Insurance Product Design Guidewire is looking for a Senior Product Manager to drive the development and growth of our insurance product design capability. Your main focus will be to learn how insurance carriers and solution vendors are innovating with new insurance products and business models. You will apply these learnings to work with a global product team spanning product management, P&C insurance domain experts, user experience design and engineering. You will help drive our strategic insurance configuration experience platform from ideation through successful adoption by Guidewire customers. Job Description Key Responsibilities Work closely with engineering and UX on sprint activities including backlog grooming, prioritization, and requirements gathering Understanding the market to identify high priority capabilities that will differentiate Guidewire Diligently perform customer research for design evolution and feedback sessions to ensure the right experience gets built. Articulate both the business value to customers and the corresponding impact to GW of the successful adoption of capabilities Ability to take requirements from application teams and insurance industry trends for new innovative insurance products, and distill it down to platform capabilities. Build compelling user experiences for customers to create and launch innovative insurance products and manage their existing products, to help grow their business. Collaborate with other platform product managers to ensure seamless configuration end-to-end lifecycle and user journeys. Ability to identify success metrics for Guidewire and customers and use a data/analytics platform to bake these into the product. Analyze competitive trends and insurtechs who are building similar configuration platforms for insurance products. Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of product management experience, preferably in cloud-based and cloud-native business applications and/or highly configurable enterprise software products and solutions. P&C domain knowledge is a must, preferably with past work experience at an insurance company, insurtech or enterprise company working in the P&C insurance vertical Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills including the ability to present clearly and persuasively to customers, partners, colleagues and senior executives. Highly structured and well-organized individual with ability to successfully manage product management activities across multiple, concurrently running cloud transition programs. BS in Computer Science or another technical major required, and Masters preferred but not required Deep interest and comprehensive knowledge of P&C insurance. At least 2 years of previous experience in the commercial and/or specialty P&C insurance sector, handling complex insurance products that are technical in nature. At least 5 years of previous experience as an insurance product manager, or business analyst with successful implementation of multiple lines of business. Proficiency in risk modeling, global regulatory standards, actuarial science, and latest emerging insurance trends. Previous consulting experience is considered an asset Previous project management experience is considered an asset. Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your role as well as use data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
