As a Mental Health Clinician at AgeCare, you’ll play a vital role in supporting residents and clinical teams by delivering compassionate, expert mental health care. Reporting to the Director of Care, you’ll be an integral part of our leadership team, helping to ensure that our care meets the highest standards of excellence. What You Will Do As our Mental Health Clinician, you will: Support resident mental wellness and drive continuous quality improvement. Guide and mentor nursing staff in mental health assessments and care planning. Supervise and support care teams in delivering best-in-class mental health care. Serve as a key liaison for residents and families, addressing mental health concerns. Lead mental health program development and staff education. Ensure interdisciplinary collaboration across all areas of resident care. Provide leadership during times when senior management is not on-site. Promote a culture of trust, integrity, and compassion aligned with AgeCare’s core values. What You Bring Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta Minimum 2 years' experience in crisis assessment/stabilization within addiction and mental health settings. At least 2 years of nursing leadership experience in long-term care or mental health. Expertise in MDS/Care Management systems, critical incident stress management, and psychological first aid. Strong knowledge of Alberta health legislation, nursing practices, and interdisciplinary care. Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead, mentor, and inspire.
