join our team in Hamilton, NJ team.

Job Responsibilities
As a Supervising Electrical Engineer, you will lead and supervise staff members
as they perform their tasks, and participate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff
management.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Provides periodic objective and comprehensive employee evaluations.
- Acts as “Engineer of Record” on dedicated projects.
- Assists Technical Manager and Chief Engineer in business unit technical
training and staff mentoring. Coordinates and assigns various projects to be
performed by the engineering team (i.e., system design and project
engineering).
- Establishes design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
- Leaders and supervises staff members as they perform their tasks.
- Manages Construction Administrative duties, such as field reports, responses
to RFIs, processing Bulletins and Addenda, etc. (PM) - Coordinates with
accounting to prepare monthly project invoices. Monitors project accounts
receivable and contacts the client as needed to expedite payment.
- Monitors all correspondence between staff, clients, contractors, Owners, etc.
- Participates in and contributes to business unit TLC.
- Participates in budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
- Prepares proposals and administers project contracts between SHG and the
client, including Add Service Agreements.
- Supervises and leads coordination meetings.
- Supervises preparation of reports and analysis of system options and building
conditions.
- Supervises 2 – 3 employees, leads EOR or Project Manager for Projects up to
100M construction costs
Job Requirements
Successful candidates must have a current PE registration and must have
Healthcare design experience. In addition, a history of working with projects
such as Healthcare, Federal, Critical Facilities, Commercial, and Aviation would
be a good fit for this dynamic role.
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in Mechanical, Plumbing or
Electrical discipline.
- Knowledge of ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) construction costs and ability to
estimate and evaluate construction costs.
- Strong organizational skills.
- PE is required or alternate certification
- Ability Conducts in-house and external seminars and/or publish articles and
papers.
- Ability to fully prepare a construction bid document and all the various
phases of the project through documentation and construction.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a timely and effective manner.
- Advanced skills with the MS Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel,
Access, and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Acrobat/Reader.
- Detailed knowledge of Life Cycle Costing analysis.
- Detailed legal understanding of documents and the processes involved during a
construction project.
- Expert supervisory/leadership skills in mentoring, managing, and leading a
team of engineers.
- High degree of interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- High-level proficiency in design and calculation software.
- In-depth knowledge of Mechanical, Plumbing or Electrical systems including
all applicable building codes and industry standards.
- Strong desire to increase skills and knowledge through additional training
- 12+ years of relevant experience in MEP field

and competencies and may differ based on the cost of labor in their particular
