What You’ll Be Responsible For
As a Payroll and Benefits Administrator, you'll ensure our team members are supported through:
Payroll administration: Process bi-weekly payroll, review time data, validate deductions, and prepare financial entries
Benefits administration: Manage employee benefits programs, enrollments, terminations, and liaise with providers
Compliance and reporting: Maintain regulatory compliance, accurate records, and prepare required reports
Employee support: Address pay and benefits inquiries while maintaining strict confidentiality
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 12–18 months, you'll be:
Processing accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll cycles independently
Managing benefits administration from enrollment to termination efficiently
Preparing detailed compliance reports and maintaining regulatory adherence
Contributing to process improvements that enhance payroll and benefits workflows
What We're Looking For
Payroll and benefits experience: Post-secondary education in HR, Accounting, or Business Administration with proven experience administering payroll systems and employee benefits programs
Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with payroll systems, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools; comprehensive knowledge of payroll legislation, tax rules, and benefits regulations; ability to create accurate reports and documentation
Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
Relationship Management: Collaborative team player able to liaise effectively between employees, HR, Finance, and third-party providers
Problem-Solving Mindset: Analytical approach to challenges with strong attention to detail and accuracy;
Process Innovation: Ability to improve payroll processes; adapts to changing regulations; maintains confidentiality
Nice to have: Professional certifications such as PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner), CPM (Certified Payroll Manager), or equivalent are valued for career advancement
