As a member of the patient food services team, the dishwasher will be responsible for washing and sanitizing of dishware following established guidelines.
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Demonstrated skills developed through experience in efficient, hygienic, cleaning techniques and knowledge of the food production system
- Physically capable of carrying out duties which may include heavy lifting
- Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility and to perform duties with minimal direct supervision
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment by taking on both leader and follower roles as required, cooperating with the team objectives, and taking initiative to assist in the completion of tasks
- Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate in English, both verbal and written and ability to communicate by initiating and communicating in a sensitive, thoughtful, and timely manner
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve
- Valid Food Handlers Certificate
