Essential Responsibilities: Operating Excavator, Dozer and Grader utilizing grade control systems (Trimble/Topcon) to finish grade is a must Perform tasks to support earth works operations – reclamation, handling C&D waste, ditching, etc. You will be working around decaying infrastructures, overhead hazards, steep grades, steep slopes, narrow roads and multiple other contractors in high traffic areas Provide general clean up, repairs, ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work areas Must be willing to perform heavy labour work as well as operating heavy equipment when required Ensures that work is completed to the set deadlines and on schedule During the winter months, snow clearing will be required with using of a grader with wing attachment. Requirements: Minimum 5 years working in an industrial setting Minimum 5 years’ experience operating an Excavator, Dozer and grader Must have finishing grade experience and skills utilizing grade control systems (Trimble/Topcon) Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision Skid Steer experience an asset Ledcor requires possession of CSTS 2020 (Construction Safety Training Systems) Occupational First Aid Level 1 Bear Awareness Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing Valid Driver’s License and Driver's Abstract Work Conditions: Applicants that reside in Kitimat, BC or surrounding areas will be given preference due to the location of this project Local candidates must have their own transportation to travel to and from the project Site based role, 5 days on 2 days off Working 10 hours per day with potential for overtime Approximately 9 months of work with the potential to extend Extended health benefits provided by CLAC Work will be outdoors in rough terrain and under extreme weather conditions and in an environmentally sensitive area Base Wage - $34.33 - $44.03 per hour Compensation This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location. Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
