Your Opportunity
As an Azure Database Administrator on our Global Database Services team, this position will have a primarily technical focus. Under the general direction of Global Database Services Leadership, this role will plan and execute complex technical tasks as well as provide technical leadership and guidance to team members.
Your Key Responsibilities
Provide and influence architectural direction on the database best practices in Azure.
Deploy, configure and maintain Azure SQL Databases and services.
Monitor database growth and performance.
Problem management [i.e., problem identification, management, and resolution]
Maintain and implement database backup and disaster recovery in Azure.
Automate deployment using Azure CLI, Terraform.
Migrate workloads and SQL Server databases to Azure.
Implement and manage Virtual Cloud Networks.
Good understanding of security concepts and implementing best security practices.
Support and enhance Stantec's High Availability Architecture and disaster recovery operations.
Database Backup and Recovery.
Planning, Testing, and Performing software upgrades.
Assist with database loads and data conversion activities.
Clone and support different application environments.
Service requests resolution.
