Objective
The Portable Power Road Technician is helping customers on site maintain a strong and reliable fleet. With safety at the forefront, we inspect, test, and diagnose generators and electrical equipment and repair on site to keep our customers’ jobs moving.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all portable power equipment is rental-ready by cleaning, checking, and properly refueling
Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on all Portable Power equipment including various diesel, gas and LP/NG generators and electrical equipment.
Safe operation of company vehicle and travel to various customer job sites to perform onsite repairs.
Ensure every customer is treated in a fair and consistent manner and resolve issues as they arise.
Operate and test equipment (under actual operating conditions, if possible).
Follow all paperwork and computer procedures related to servicing of equipment and maintain those records.
Maintain all inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of the rental management computer system.
Adhere to all Company and job site-specific policies and safety standards.
Requirements:
3 years of Generator repair or related experience.
Heavy equipment trades certification is an asset.
EGSA (Generator Technician) certification is an asset.
Small engine repair experience is an asset.
G Class (ON)/Class 5 (AB) provincial Driver’s license with current clean abstract.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Results oriented, achieving high levels of individual and team performance.
Flexible with the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Bona fide job requirement that you wear the following PPE safely and as per regulations:
Hard hat
