As Director of Sales, you will initially focus on managing key account
relationships and driving sales growth across major Canadian retailers such as
Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Costco, and others. You will roll up your sleeves as
an individual contributor while preparing to transition into a leadership role
overseeing a small team of sales professionals. This role requires strong sales
management experience, business acumen including P&L responsibility, and the
ability to build and maintain strategic client relationships. You will work
closely with senior management and internal teams to develop sales strategies
and ensure successful execution. This position reports to the Managing Director,
Canada. The position offers a base salary range of $175,000 - $200,000 CAD plus
bonuses.

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:
Head Office: Brampton, ON
Work Environment: Primarily office-based, Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week.
Travel: 10–25% (up to 5 days/month). Includes visits to Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec,
and occasional international travel.
Territory Coverage: All of Canada, with key focus on Toronto, Ottawa, and Quebec
EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably within Consumer Packaged Goods
(CPG)
- 5+ years of sales management experience, including direct reports and team
leadership.
- Demonstrated success in managing key accounts and building strong
relationships with major Canadian retailers such as Canadian Tire, Home
Depot, Costco, and others.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, budgeting, and driving
profitability.
- Expertise in consultative selling, negotiation, and structured sales
processes.
- Experience working with multi-cultural teams and diverse markets, including
some exposure to French language markets (an asset but not mandatory).
- A university or college degree in a business-related field is required.

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES:
- 75% sales and account management functions
- Manage key national accounts including Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Costco, and
Rona
- Build and maintain strong relationships with major retailers and internal
stakeholders
- Roll up sleeves to actively sell and pitch product portfolios, identifying
new business opportunities
- Collaborate closely with the current Managing Director to shadow and learn
the business
- Lead a small team of direct and indirect reports, preparing to transition
into full sales leadership
- Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company goals
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales plans
25% administrative and reporting functions
- Oversee P&L responsibilities, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Prepare detailed internal reports and presentations for senior management
- Manage product transitions and coordinate with supply chain during system
upgrades
- Support operational improvements during organizational changes and new
product launches
OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:
10–25% Travel to Ottawa, Quebec, and occasional international destinations
yearly
SUPPORT & TRAINING:
- Comprehensive onboarding with close mentorship from the current Managing
Director to ensure smooth transition
- Hands-on training focused on key account management, P&L oversight, and
internal reporting processes
- Ongoing coaching to develop leadership skills and prepare for full sales
director responsibilities within 6 to 8 months
- Access to cross-functional teams and resources to support business
development and operational understanding
- Support for travel and client engagement activities, including international
visits to Germany and Salt Lake City
