Ontario Line South
Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projects are to design, build and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations and Tunnel (South Civil) package.
Working together as Ontario Transit Group we are currently mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works to commence in 2023. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.
What is the project?
A six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)
Stations:
One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station
Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations
Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown)

Job Description
This position provides discipline specific coordination in subcontract administration of engineered equipment, site works, professional services, and permanent plant materials. Responsibilities include managing a staff of field subcontract administrators while interfacing with Project procurement, project control, finance, and operations groups.
Primary Responsibilities
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for one or more discipline(s) and administer a pool of subcontracts related to that discipline.
Administer contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representatives.
Complete project planning for subcontract administration.
Act as single point of contact and accountability for a discipline.
Ensure contract handler conformance to contract provisions and assist contract handers with contract correspondence.
Oversee preparation of change orders, claims identification and contract handler administration for a discipline.
Oversee subcontract payment provisions and payment approvals for a discipline.
Resolve subcontractor grievances, and claims for a discipline.
Review subcontractor claims and contracts for conformance to project policy for a discipline.
Enforce subcontracting policies & procedures to project team.
Qualifications
Masters degree preferred in business, engineering, supply chain management, construction management or equivalent degree and/or a minimum of 5 -10 years experience in engineering and/or construction or equivalent work/field experience.
Knowledge of equipment and materials common in Design and Build projects
Knowledge of Canadian construction Industry and Ontario Construction Act
Effective time management and organizational skills
Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) and have a general knowledge of database utilization.
Ability to lead teams of two to three administrators, provide feedback and assist in employee development objectives
Detail-oriented, highly motivated with ability to effectively manage time
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives.
