Reporting to the Director, Marketing, the Consumer Insights & Research Manager will be responsible for leading and executing the consumer research and insights strategy for Lindt Canada. This role will provide actionable insights that drive brand and category growth by translating qualitative and quantitative data into clear business recommendations.
Responsibilities
Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand consumer needs, preferences, and behaviours
Lead consumer insights projects in partnership with global teams and external suppliers (e.g., IPSOS testing, CCM reporting, Nielsen, monthly qualitative immersions)
Design, manage, and execute research projects including idea screening, concept testing, sensory testing, and ad hoc initiatives
Act as the primary contact with external research partners and the global Insights team
Analyze, synthesize, and present findings in compelling presentations for cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Provide training and guidance to marketing teams to build an insights-driven culture
Continuously monitor market trends and optimize marketing programs based on insights
Develop a deep understanding of category, shopper, competitive, and retailer landscapes to inform marketing and innovation strategies
Lead research to identify category triggers and barriers across the consumer journey
Partner with Category Management and Sales Strategy teams to develop consumer stories that strengthen customer presentations
Monitor competitive activity and recommend proactive actions to address threats
Share key industry and consumer trends to shape business opportunities
Manage research analysis, reporting, and schedules to support finance budget cycles (BU, LE1/LE2)
Increase the literacy of Consumer Insights across the commercial team
Qualifications
5–7 years of consumer insights or marketing experience in CPG
Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Strong analytical and research skills with expertise in qualitative and quantitative methods
Proven ability to translate complex findings into actionable business insights
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within budget and timelines
Demonstrated stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to work under pressure and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
Growth mindset with a track record of personal and professional development
