✅ WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure backend services powering our
healthcare platform
- Own the full lifecycle of features: design, implementation, deployment,
monitoring, and improvement
- Drive continuous integration and deployment across the platform
- Contribute to innovation and ongoing performance optimization
- Ensure code quality with peer reviews, testing, and strong development
practices
- Collaborate with internal and external partners on integrations (EHR,
billing, accounting systems)
- Implement and uphold security and compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC 2, OWASP
best practices)
- Document workflows, share knowledge, and strengthen engineering practices
across the team
🧠 WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO…
- Is fluent in modern backend programming languages and frameworks (Python,
TypeScript, etc.)
- Has experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred) to build
scalable SaaS solutions
- Brings strong database skills in SQL (e.g., Postgres) and NoSQL systems
- Brings deep knowledge of secure coding practices (OWASP)
- Is confident building and integrating APIs for interoperability (FHIR, HL7 a
plus)
- Spots and solves complex technical problems with scalability and performance
in mind
- Understands secure coding practices and compliance in healthcare or other
regulated industries
- Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Mentors junior engineers and contributes to a strong engineering culture
- Thrives in a fast-moving environment with high ownership

🌍 ADDITIONAL NOTES
- This role will require occasional travel to the USA and Canada for on-site
campaigns, team collaboration, and brand activations. All travel will be
coordinated and supported by the Meroka team.
