The Shipper/Receiver will be required to act as a contact for all materials and tools in the yard. Responsibilities will include maintaining the yard to implement workplace safety, inspecting materials and equipment to ensure proper working conditions, efficiently storing materials, and shipping materials to work sites. Other responsibilities will include scheduling, tracking, coordinating material delivery, and managing resources.

Job Duties
Maintain inventory for construction materials, small tools, steel, and construction products, serving as the contact for these items.
Maintain the property surrounding the office and shop, including weed and litter control, and keep the yard and grounds organized and professional.
Inspect all equipment and materials when they are returned to the yard.
Safely operate various forklifts to load and unload materials, including steel, on and off delivery trucks, both indoors and outdoors.Thoroughly check equipment to ensure it is in working condition.
Store materials in an orderly manner.
Utilize a scheduling system to coordinate, track, and provide trucking for the delivery of materials to job sites and manage resources in and out of the yard.
Maintain accurate inventory records and provide performance and status reports.
Implement efficient storage methods to maximize the utility of the space, keeping upcoming jobs accessible, and ensure all materials are stored safely [minimize the risk of damage/weathering].

Requirements
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Able to work independently in a busy environment.
Experience with routine maintenance operations.
Highly flexible with strong people skills.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Strong attention to detail.
Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally.
Computer literate.
Fluent in French and English.
Work Conditions
Physical ability to lift to 50lb.
Travel to off-site locations may be required.
Safety equipment, e.g., steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses or goggles will be required.
