Lumentum is seeking a talented senior Electronics Engineer to develop leading edge electro-optic Circuit Packs/PCBAs. The successful candidate will be capable of priming complex PCBA designs, working independently and with teams to define, simulate and deliver winning and manufacturable products. In this capacity, the candidate will possess detailed knowledge of analog/digital design techniques, PCBA design, simulation and applicable technologies. What You’ll Be Doing Lead the design and development of advanced hardware for optical systems, from concept to production. Define and evaluate components (amplifiers, transistors, uC, ADC/DAC, etc) and circuitries for the analog designs such as Laser drivers, heater drivers, TIAs, power supplies, etc. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, firmware, optical, MFG, and mechanical. Conduct rigorous hardware testing and validation to ensure performance and reliability. Define and develop test requirements and support the product through the NPI lifecycle. Create detailed schematics, guide PCB layouts, and perform simulations using industry-standard CAD tools (Cadence, Ansys) What We’re Looking For Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and minimum 10y of applicable experience. Expertise in complex PCBA design. Proficiency in hardware design and simulation tools such as Cadence and Ansys. Hands-on experience with testing equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers). Proficiency in a low frequency analog and mixed signal. Extensive knowledge of electronic components and circuits property, fabrication processes, assembly processes. Experience in a power/digital design and in control systems is an asset. Knowledge of optical architectures and systems is an asset. Knowledge of DC power circuitry would be an asset. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with teams, both local and remote.
