Delivery Driver – Wines & Spirits

Status: Full Time
Charton Hobbs, Canada’s oldest privately owned wine and spirits agency, is seeking a professional and organized Delivery Driver to join our Mississauga team. This role is essential in ensuring timely and courteous delivery of premium wines and spirits to our valued partners across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities
Product Transportation:
Pick up products from a third-party storage facility and transport them to our Mississauga warehouse.
Ensure proper handling and storage of fragile products during transportation to maintain quality and integrity.
Delivery Planning:
Sort products by delivery region within the GTA and surrounding areas.
Develop an efficient weekly route plan in collaboration with a second driver to ensure on-time deliveries.
Delivery Execution:
Deliver products to various partners, including fine dining establishments, restaurants, bars, and retailers.
Ensure all deliveries are accurate and meet client expectations. The Delivery Driver is also responsible for keeping detailed records of their deliveries and any issues with the items being delivered.
Customer Service:
Interact professionally and courteously with restaurant owners, bar managers, head sommeliers, and other key partners.
Represent Charton Hobbs with excellence in all client-facing interactions.
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have Requirements:
Valid Ontario driver’s license and a clean driving abstract.
Proven experience in a similar delivery role, preferably in the beverage alcohol, food, or hospitality industries.
Ability to lift and move heavy products safely ≥ 50lbs.
Key Competencies:
Exceptional organizational skills to manage delivery routes and schedules.
Strong time management to ensure all deliveries are punctual.
Ability to work primarily during regular business hours (Monday to Friday), with flexibility as needed.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, especially when working with high-end clients.
Courteous and professional demeanor in all interactions.
Warehouse Support (as needed):
Provide backup support in the Mississauga warehouse, including unloading deliveries, preparing items for shipping, and assisting with inventory organization. (Forklift license a strong asset)
Support general warehouse operations during peak periods or staff absences, ensuring smooth and timely handling of products.
Operate safely when assisting with physical product handling in the warehouse environment.
