Qualicare Calgary has immediate openings for Certified Health Care Aide or
equivalent.
Job Summary
The HCA is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the
Care Manager/Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as
necessary to meet the client’s needs.
Responsibilities
- Assistance with personal care and hygiene
- Meal Preparation
- Light Housekeeping
- Accompany clients on outings
- Shopping and errands
- Medication Assist/ Reminders
- Ambulation and transporting of clients
- Provide companionship to clients
- Ability to follow care-plan
- Documentation/Charting
Qualifications
- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing
student).
- Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Driver's license and own transportation required
- Access to Internet/mobile phone
- Criminal Record Check (recent within 1 year)
