ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Data Scientist with a customer mindset to join our growing
data team and help transform raw, messy datasets into structured, useful data
products that drive both internal insights and customer-facing features.
In this role, you won’t just build - you’ll define, shape, and deliver. You’ll
work directly with stakeholders and subject matter experts to scope
opportunities, refine vision, and deliver data-powered solutions across our
intelligent pay products and internal tools. A major focus will be integrating
priority datasets, market benchmarks, and proprietary compensation data into
scalable and innovative product experiences.
You’ll also play a key role in supporting our AI Center of Excellence, helping
to prototype and deliver AI-powered tools that enhance internal workflows and
organizational productivity. We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience
building with generative AI - whether through LLM integrations, prompt
engineering, or building lightweight tools and agents.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who’s technically strong, deeply
collaborative, and excited to grow into a strategic role where initiative,
innovation, and leadership potential are valued.
WHY THIS JOB IS EXCITING
- Drive how our most important datasets power data-driven product features in
compensation and intelligent pay.
- Collaborate directly with stakeholders and SMEs to define and deliver scoped
product and tooling work.
- Support the AI Center of Excellence by designing and building GenAI-powered
internal tools that improve employee workflows.
- Build and maintain curated datasets and transformation pipelines in BigQuery.
- Develop and iterate on AI prototypes - from prompt-powered tools to agents -
to support cross-functional teams.
- Help identify new use cases and scale high-impact tools for both external
products and internal operations.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in data science, analytics engineering, or related fields,
preferably in production environments.
- Strong business acumen — able to connect data and technology work to
organizational goals, understand tradeoffs, and prioritize for impact.
- Entrepreneurial and self-directed—you take ownership, propose solutions, and
drive initiatives forward.
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with both technical and
non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, especially for data wrangling,
transformation, and tooling.
- Hands-on experience building with generative AI (e.g., LLM-based tools,
prompt workflows, integrations) — agent experience is a strong plus.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets in a modern warehouse
(BigQuery preferred).
- Comfortable navigating ambiguous or messy data, with a problem-solving
mindset.
- Interested in compensation or HR data, and excited by the challenges of
scaling structured data in real-world applications.
- Motivated by impact and growth — you want to scale your influence and grow
into a strategic role with broader ownership over time.
