About the role
As a member of the Supply Chain team, the materials planner will be responsible for the materials’ plan and execution for 24 months rolling, guaranteeing the right mix to achieve availability and inventory targets
What you'll do
Define, execute and adjust inventory policy for materials (mins, EOQ, MOQs), which includes reviewing Stock/Non-Stock material and changing stock status as needed for 3 plants.
Develop the materials plan aligned to the production plan and projected inventory for 3 plants.
Identify, track, and reduce aging, obsolete, and excess inventory; implement proactive strategies to minimize inventory write-offs.
Process purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
Analyze inventory data to forecast needs and avoid shortages or overstocking.
Responsible for maintaining Supplier Price Lists
Manage subcontractor purchase orders and monitor inventory levels allocated to or held by subcontractors.
Develop and implement effective inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels
Track and calculate key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supply chain efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Continuous improvement: leverage our ERP as much as possible for materials planning and ordering. The focus on the position should be on bringing additional value.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in materials planning, supply chain management, or a related field. Proven track record of managing inventory, developing materials plans, and executing inventory policies for multiple plants.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of materials planning processes, inventory management principles, and supply chain operations.
ERP experience is mandatory, preferably EPICOR.
Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various departments. Proficiency in using materials planning software and tools 1.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM) is preferred
Must be willing to work in office 5 days per week. Work from home options may be available to some positions after the probationary period has been completed.
