Unposting Date: 2025-10-21 11:59 PM This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines. Function: Performs specialized tasks in design by creating distinctive visual elements within the scope and time constraints of a program, project or product development process. Work is generally performed according to accepted CBC/Radio-Canada or industry standards but there is latitude for independent action, judgment and initiative. Duties are usually performed under high pressure and tight deadlines within established formats. There may be requirements to achieve results in a self-administered environment on projects where the individual plans, organizes and carries out the work in a manner that meets the project requirements. Key Tasks: Generates ideas to illustrate content and increase visual interest. Creates original material reflecting those ideas using strong storytelling, communication and design editing skills. Modifies, adapts and improvises on concepts provided by others. Conceives, creates, pitches and executes still and animated images to support concepts. Designs logos, typographic layouts, signage, print and digital delivery, including participation in photography shoots. Consults and collaborates with others involved throughout the design and production processes to ensure continuity of deliverables. Contributes ideas and makes recommendations on new methods and design approaches to content to overcome problems or achieve desired results. Experiments and devises new methods or creative approaches. Participates in the preparation of programming and/or department objectives. Ability to communicate creative concepts in support of storytelling, and content production. When required, assist in the training and development of others. Performs all or part of the functions or duties of an equivalent or lower classification. Education Required: Job requires a good knowledge and understanding of content production. Requires a university degree or college diploma in Graphic Design, Animation and/or the relevant certification. Experience Required: Job requires three years of directly related experience.
