Your Opportunity We are hiring a Senior Workday Application Developer who can own the technical build of Workday solutions from start to finish. This role requires a strong developer who can design and build integrations, Extend applications, and custom reports, and someone who can think systemically, asking the right questions, and proposing scalable solutions. You won’t just be handed specs to build. We’re looking for someone who can challenge assumptions, think critically, and bring ideas to the table. To be successful, you will: Build & Maintain Integrations Design and develop integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors. Configure and optimize REST and SOAP APIs for secure and scalable data flows. Troubleshoot integration issues and lead root cause analysis. Configure data transformation primarily using XLST or other technology Configure business processes related to integrations Develop Extend Applications Build custom Workday Extend apps using orchestration, PMD scripting, and UI components. Prototype and present solutions to stakeholders. Construct WQL or orchestration endpoints Design Reports & Data Solutions Develop custom reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite) and calculated fields. Partner with Finance, HCM, and PSA teams to deliver actionable insights. Think Systems, Not Just Code Analyze business requirements and propose technical solutions aligned with broader systems architecture. Identify downstream impacts, performance risks, and security considerations. Collaborate & Influence Partner with functional leads and end users to understand needs, validate ideas, and deliver value. Drive technical standards and advocate for best practices. Participate in design reviews, testing, and deployment activities. How do we define success for your role? Your Experience and Education: 5+ years of hands-on Workday development experience (Studio, Extend, EIB, Core Connectors, Business Process ). Strong experience with REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, XSLT. Experience in multiple Workday modules—ideally HCM, Finance, and/or PSA. Skilled in Workday reporting and calculated field development. Proven ability to work independently and handle ambiguity. Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences. Workday certifications (Integration Core, Studio, Extend) are a strong asset. Why BDO?
