As a Software Developer Specialist on the Services team, you’ll collaborate directly with customers to bring their boldest ideas to life. These aren’t standard integrations or roadmap features—they’re high-impact, high-visibility solutions that stretch the limits of what our product can do. You’ll help design and build custom features that break the mold while delivering tangible value—solutions that are funded, prioritized, and developed through close customer collaboration. Whether it’s a one-off integration, merging institutions, or reimagining a core system, you’ll be part of the team that turns “what if” into “what’s next.” What You'll Do: Contribute to all stages of the product life cycle: requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, automation, and support Collaborate with your team to design innovative solutions that solve complex technical problems Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices Participate in code reviews with a focus on quality, scalability, and maintainability Work closely with project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project requirements Deliver exceptional customer service by clearly explaining technical solutions and issues to non-technical stakeholders Mentoring and coaching team members What We're Looking For: A university degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience 2+ years of hands-on development experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to tackling complex challenges Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python Experience working with PostgreSQL Experience with automated testing frameworks and practices Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with a collaborative mindset A “customer-first” attitude—committed to delivering solutions that meet real customer needs What Success Looks Like: Bring fresh ideas and continuous improvements to your team’s processes and outcomes Consistently meet and exceed individual and team goals Apply strong problem-solving skills to align with and achieve team objectives Foster a collaborative team environment where members support each other’s growth through shared learning, feedback, and knowledge exchange Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code Continuously iterate on coding practices to drive quality and innovation Growth Opportunities: Advance along the technical leadership path, with opportunities to grow into roles like Lead Developer or Architect Become a subject matter expert within your current team Leverage your skills to explore new areas of the business and expand your impact Collaborate on unique, cross-functional projects that offer exposure to the broader development organization This position can be located in St. John’s or Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
