As a member of the health care team on F3- CTU Medicine unit, provides clinical care and support which maintains or improves a patients functional status.
- Personal Support Worker or Health Care Aide Certificate or nursing student with successful completion of all level 2 course at McMaster University or nursing student with successful completion of all level 2 courses in the McMaster-Mohawk-Conestoga collaborative Nursing Program
- 2 years Clinical Health Care Aide experience preferred
- Computer familiarity or willingness to learn computer skills as required
- Demonstrated effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, teamwork skills
- Demonstrated initiative and judgment appropriate for the position
- Ability to accept assignment or delegated functions
- Ability to set priorities and organize work accordingly
- Ability to deal with various hospital departments effectively and collaboratively
- Ability to left using appropriate techniques and bend, push and pull using good body mechanics
