The Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the smooth flow of Production and R&D materials within the organization. This includes receiving, stocking, and issuing of materials, issuing purchase requisitions, as well as collecting finished goods for shipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receiving / Materials
• Stock received materials
• Stockroom organization
• Update inventory logs and/or item cards
• Issue materials to the shop floor
Shop Floor Controls
• Open/issue/close work orders (travelers) for scheduled shipments
Inbound / Outbound Logistics
• Coordinate stock item shipments and receiving with Shipper/Receiver and QA
Raw Material Inventory-level Management
• Monitor changes in stock usage
• Review/revise stock levels and re-order points
• Issue purchase requisitions
• Perform regular inventory cycle counts
• Set up new stock items
Experience:
• At least 4 years’ experience in a comparable work environment
• Experience working with an ERP system is desirable
• Experience with Syspro is desirable
Skills / Qualifications:
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Background in ERP transactions (work orders, stock movements, reporting)
• Computer literacy including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and spreadsheets to track production data and inventories
• Good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Demonstrate positive attitude and self-motivation
• Excellent organizational skills
• Forklift operator
Education:
High school graduation essential; a college diploma is a big plus.
Pay / Compensation:
$22.00 - $27.00 CAD per hour

The salary range posted above reflects the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries, taking into account factors such as job-related skills and expertise, relevant training and education, and business needs. It is common for ranges to span multiple levels in order to attract top talent across experience levels. It is uncommon to be hired at the top of the range; however, in exceptional cases where a candidate's skills and expertise significantly exceed the role's requirements, we may consider offering a higher salary.
