We are currently looking for a Bliss MH to work a permanent full-time position on the Afternoon Shift (Monday-Friday 3pm - 11pm) at our Alliston facility. The following are dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning) Constant or intermittent exposure to elevated levels of noise Involves working around equipment, machinery, and belts What You'll Be Doing The Bliss MH assumes the responsibilities of setting up the Packing line and troubleshooting the process as the Line is running. This also includes ensuring the Line has the material, equipment and staffing needed to run the daily schedule. The Bliss MH is a key person in the Packing team for their Line. Set up carton formers – a)Delkor b) SWF Ensure proper operation of carton formers. Load equipment with raw materials. Ensure proper operation of robots. Make minor adjustments to equipment. Report major malfunctions to supervisor and /or maintenance Perform Packing operations as required (break coverage) and drive Tow Motor Responsible for changeover & set up of palletizer, check weigher, carton forming and carton sealing equipment. Set up and operation of the ink jet. Obtain cardboard from Warehouse Monitor cartons at the end of the batch to minimize left over cartons Perform Packing operations as required (break coverage) and drive Tow Motor Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and keep area clean and tidy. Assist on the pack line as needed Duties performed on a continual or intermittent basis Learn, understand and apply thorough quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles What You'll Bring Successful completion of High School diploma or GED required (Proof will be requested) Fast-paced environment, high pressure Experience doing repetitive tasks Physically demanding. Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment Experience in food or manufacturing industry Demonstrated good attendance in present position. Demonstrated good performance & good quality in present position. Demonstrated good attitude applying Baxter's Shared Commitments As this is considered a critical position overtime and ability to work Production Saturdays is mandatory. Experience in trouble-shooting mechanical problems. Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize. Proven ability to be proactive and self-motivated on the job. Must have the ability to comprehend Baxter specifications & SOP’s and determine appropriate corrective actions.
