No experience? No problem! We’re looking for motivated, physically active individuals in BC who are ready to learn, willing to travel (including occasional overnight stays), and comfortable spending their days on the move (expect 10,000+ steps daily).
As a Temporary Telecom Field Specialist, you’ll receive full training to safely and accurately collect telecommunications infrastructure data — including GPS mapping, site inspections, and field surveys.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Reporting to our Manager, Operations, you’ll support field projects by collecting and documenting essential infrastructure data. Your main responsibilities include:
Performing site surveys and field inspections using mobile devices and simple tools
Collecting, checking, and organizing GPS data with accuracy
Recording field notes, measurements, and observations clearly and consistently
Assisting with basic data entry and project documentation such as spreadsheets, maps, and reports
Using GIS platforms and software tools (training provided) to process and map data
Communicating professionally with team members, contractors, and the public
What Success Looks Like
Success means being reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Within a short time, you’ll be able to:
Comfortably performing field surveys and inspections with minimal supervision
Using mobile and GPS tools accurately
Adjusting quickly to new project areas, weather conditions, and schedules
Maintaining professional communication with team members and the public
Following safety guidelines
Producing accurate, high-quality data to keep projects on track
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for motivated, reliable individuals ready to learn and enjoy working outdoors. No previous technical experience is required — full training will be provided.
Enjoy hands-on work in all weather conditions
Comfortable walking long distances daily
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable using smartphones or tablets to record data (training provided)
Communicate clearly and respectfully with teammates, contractors, and the public
Adaptable to changing locations, schedules, and project needs
Willing to travel and occasionally stay overnight
Dependable, safety-conscious, and a positive team contributor
