The Warehouse Truck Driver is responsible for making pickup and deliveries to Montana State Prison as well as all the regional prisons and numerous other facilities, both public and private, across the state of Montana. These deliveries include, but are not limited to, food products, office supplies, clothing, license plates, furniture, janitorial supplies, maintenance supplies and canteen.
This position is also responsible for the receiving and dispatching of statewide deliveries as well as accurate inventory management. This position assists with the dispatching, scheduling and time entry in the absence of the warehouse manager. The successful candidate should have knowledge of warehousing techniques to include First In First Out (FIFO), merchandising techniques, receiving, warehousing, inventory management, logistics, and distributions in a secure environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Physical demands require the ability to lift approximately 75 to 100 pounds on a daily basis with occasions requiring up to 125 pounds.
The ability to maneuver large equipment in small areas with extreme accuracy and be able to back into restrictive loading docks.
Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
