Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facility Manager to join our team for a 73-unit residential building in Vancouver. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance, minor repairs, painting, landscaping, cleaning, and overall building upkeep. This role ensures the property operates efficiently while maintaining a comfortable, secure, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Change light bulbs and repair exit signs.
Repair drywall, including patching and painting interior and exterior surfaces.
Replace carpet tiles and repair gates, cages, and locks.
Refinish wood surfaces (doors, chairs, cabinets).
Perform minor plumbing repairs.
Fix door closures, cabinets, door handles, chairs, and other small fixtures.
Assist janitorial contractors in cleaning swimming pool tiles, windows, and walls.
Power wash exterior walkways (seasonally).
Clean and maintain rooftops, patios, and exterior finishes.
Wash exterior windows using a pressure washer and extension poles.
Drive a golf cart or ATV as needed.
Change oil in a small tractor when required.
Sweep roofs, clean and drain rooftop areas.
Meet with tradespeople, provide instructions, and communicate updates to the property manager.
Water plants and shrubs during the summer months.
Remove bins, scrub/disinfect floors, and replace bins as needed.
Inspect fire safety systems, lights, and alarms.
Maintain proper chemical balance in the swimming pool.
Maintain a professional and courteous attitude toward residents, staff, and tradespeople.
Keep a daily logbook of all duties performed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Landscaper, Janitorial Cleaner, or Handyman (preferred).
Experience in general maintenance, painting, and repair work.
Knowledge and ability to operate power washing and leaf-blowing machines.
Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Experience with minor electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs.
Proficient in English with good communication skills.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Monday to Friday
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
8-hour shifts, full-time

Pay: $24.50 per hour
