We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated individual to ensure the safety and security of Public Service facilities. As a Floater Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through various tasks and duties across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Access Control: Monitor and manage access to the building, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
Patrols: Conduct thorough and regular foot patrols, both inside and outside the facility, to detect any suspicious activity or security breaches.
Escorting Contractors: Safely escort contractors and visitors throughout the premises as required.
Post Orders: Follow and enforce established post orders to always maintain a high standard of security protocols.
Other Duties: Perform additional security-related tasks as assigned to maintain the overall safety of the building.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard License.
Must have access to a vehicle and a valid G driver’s license.
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with the public and other personnel.
Proficient in using computer systems for reporting and tracking security activities.
Ability to perform well under pressure and handle emergencies with calm and focus.
Must be comfortable standing, sitting, and patrolling for extended periods.
