Position Summary As the Manager, AI Strategy, within the Data & Technology group (D&T), you will play a key role in supporting the definition and execution of OMERS’ enterprise AI strategy. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to identify, assess, and advance AI opportunities that align with organizational priorities. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and a strong understanding of AI technologies and governance practices. You will operate with considerable independence, contributing to the development of AI roadmaps, governance frameworks, and business-specific AI initiatives. Key Responsibilities Support the definition and execution of OMERS’ enterprise AI strategy, including capability assessments, roadmap development, delivery frameworks, interaction models and business alignment. Prepare executive-ready materials, including strategy documents, business cases, and performance reports. Collaborate through the D&T Customer Success & Innovation team (CSI) with business units to identify and prioritize AI use cases across Public Markets, Private Markets and corporate functions. Partner with the data platform team to ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards. Conduct research and analysis on emerging AI trends, technologies, and best practices to inform strategic decision-making. Support the AI and Information Governance Team in the development and implementation of AI governance frameworks, including model onboarding, policy development, and risk management. Assist in the development of AI education and change management initiatives in collaboration with the D&T Digital Fitness & CSI teams. Qualifications 5–7 years of progressive experience in strategy, digital transformation, or technology-focused roles, with increasing responsibility and a demonstrated ability to align technology initiatives with business outcomes. 2+ years of experience working with AI technologies in a business context, including evaluating use cases, contributing to roadmaps and aligning AI initiatives with organizational goals Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives and solve problems with innovative thinking. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to work with executive stakeholders and/or senior leadership Strong understanding of how AI/ML concepts, data lifecycle, and responsible AI practices can impact business units. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
