Job Description What is the opportunity? The RBC Enterprise Social Media team leads creative and channel strategies, processes and governance across the organization. Reporting into the Senior Designer, you will support the enterprise paid and organic social media content production across multiple platforms. This individual will be equipped with a robust understanding of creative design, video capture, and editing as well as lo-fi content production. Content storytelling will be across banking, investing, loyalty, sports, music and more. This role requires a skilled content producer who is actively attuned to social media trends and culture. You have a collaborative spirit and partner with our social media managers to understand customer insights, channel performance, and how to integrate this into creative concepts and assets. You deliver content from ideas through final production with agility. What will you do? Content Creation & Production Graphic Design: Creating visually appealing images, infographics, and GIFs for various platforms. Video Editing & Production: Storyboarding, filming, editing, colour-correcting and producing high-quality videos with proper formatting for each social platform. Platform Proficiency Social Media Platforms: Expertise in using platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, YouTube, and others to create effective content. Ability to create and deliver platform-correct content by social channel. Adobe Creative Suite: Proficiency with industry-standard software like Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator). AI Tools: experience leveraging AI tools for efficiency from copywriting versioning and brainstorming to storyboarding. Content Strategy & Planning Content Planning: develop original, engaging content ideas, planning design and production schedules, and understanding different social media formats. Copywriting: Write compelling captions, headlines, and other written content to support visual content. What do you need to succeed? Must have: Portfolio is required. Graphic Design Software: Programs like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for visual assets. Video Editing Software: Tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for producing engaging video content. Content Creation: Strong ability to create compelling content across various formats, including video, images, and text . Writing & Editing: Strong copy writing skills for crafting engaging captions and supers. Visual Storytelling: Ability to develop original ideas that tell compelling stories across social channels. Social Media Expertise: Deep understanding of core platforms, algorithms and how to tailor content. Project Management: Skill in planning, organizing, and executing content production scheduling to meet deadlines. Bilingual is an asset. Nice-to-have: Agency and/or Financial Services experience.
