This Position reports to:
Service Manager
The After-Sales Support Specialist in Spectroscopy is responsible for providing technical assistance and support via phone or email to customers using our analyzers. They address technical issues, user training, and equipment maintenance to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
The After-Sales Support Specialist is based in Québec (QC, Canada). However, the nature of the role may require occasional travel to customer sites (United States and internationally) and to various ABB offices.
Your Role: Take on the Challenge
Diagnose and resolve issues remotely
Respond to customers' technical inquiries and offer appropriate solutions
Perform tasks in accordance with established standards, guidelines, workflows, policies, and procedures
Assist with customer service activities related to the FTIR product line
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
Contribute to achieving and exceeding the service department’s sales targets
Train customers on the use and maintenance of equipment
Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, production, sales) to improve products and services and support new product launches
What it takes to run what runs the world
Degree in physical engineering or a bachelor's in physics, chemistry, electronics, or other related fields
Or a college diploma (DEC) in physics, chemistry, electronics, or other related fields with 3 years of relevant experience in technical support, after-sales service, or maintenance of scientific instruments
Knowledge of spectroscopy analysis is an asset
Excellent written and spoken English and French
Strong communication skills, customer satisfaction focus, attention to detail and quality
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Good interpersonal skills and teaching ability to train and support customers
Problem-solving skills
Perseverance, initiative, punctuality, and professionalism
Additional Requirements:
A security clearance is required before assignment. The position holder must comply with the safety regulations of the countries and sites they visit.
