Position Overview
The Facility Maintenance Manager (Corporate) plays a key leadership role in ensuring the performance, safety, and reliability of the company’s facilities and critical infrastructure across all locations. Reporting to the VP, Operations, this role is responsible for overseeing capital projects, mechanical servicing, and maintenance planning to support operational efficiency and long-term asset integrity.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced maintenance or facilities professional seeking to lead infrastructure initiatives at a corporate level, with oversight of multiple facilities and a direct impact on company-wide operations.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Maintenance & Repairs: Oversee mechanical maintenance and repair at all company-owned facilities and major infrastructure (e.g., tank farms, piping, plumbing, pumps) in accordance with established maintenance schedules.
Inspections: Perform regular inspections of building infrastructure and mechanical equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
Equipment Installation & Modification: Install, relocate, or modify equipment and systems within company facilities as required.
Blueprints & Technical Documents: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals to support maintenance and project work.
Facility Upgrades & Fabrication: Design and fabricate infrastructure upgrades, retrofits, and construction tasks—including welding and light mechanical work.
Project Management: Plan, budget, and manage work performed by contractors and external vendors, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with health and safety standards.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, doors, motors, compressors, conveyors, and other facility-related equipment.
Travel Requirements: Meet seasonal travel requirements to various internal and external facilities across Canada and the U.S.
Product Offloading Oversight: Attend, oversee, and assist with the offloading of various products at company terminals including barge offloading at marine terminals, and railcar/truck loading/unloading at transloading facilities.
Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support facility operations and corporate objectives.
Qualifications
Education / Knowledge / Experience
Certified Millwright (Red Seal Preferred) or equivalent mechanical trade certification
At least five (5) years of previous experience in facilities management, operations management, and hands-on experience in:
o Shop and yard maintenance
o Process piping
o Supervising staff or trades
Knowledge of WHMIS and Health and Safety Due Diligence
Valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License (AZ/DZ preferred)
Skills and Abilities
Strong communication skills (listening, verbal, and written)
Basic computer literacy, including:
o Email (Outlook)
o Microsoft Office programs
o Internet navigation
Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude

Work Environment
Work may take place anywhere maintenance is required, including:
o Indoor mechanical areas, shops, and yards
o Outdoor environments, depending on the nature and location of tasks and the
season
Standard work week: Monday to Friday, on a shift between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM, with occasional variation
Overtime and weekend hours may be required during peak season (April to October)
Exposure to dirty, noisy, and outdoor environments including marine docks
Physical Demands
Driving and operating company vehicles
Operating manual and power tools
Standing, walking, reaching, crawling as a part of daily tasks
Periodic heavy lifting (up to 150 lbs)
Some sitting and keyboard use for communication and reporting
