Position: Registered Nurse - Community Health

Job Type: Part Time/Fixed Term (24 hours per week)
Pay: $32-$45 Hourly
Pharmacy Hours:
Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Weekends May be Required.

About the Role
In this role, you will coordinate and support patient health assessments, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and maintain accurate health records. Most notably, you will administer flu and travel vaccines, and support for Infants & Post Partum Care services to further enhance our commitment to comprehensive and safe healthcare services ensuring advanced patient care. Your expertise will be valuable in managing patient treatments and ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards. This is fixed term position until March 31st 2026. Hours required 24 hours in a week.

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care
Assist with patient assessments and monitor health status
Administer injections for flu and travel vaccines
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Educate patients on health management and treatment plans
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop care plans
Address patient questions and concerns
Provide exceptional customer service
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent nursing degree
Completion of a Registered Nurse (RN) program
Registered by the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) in good standing
Accredited CPR Certification in Alberta is required
Experience & Skills
Experience with patient assessments
Supporting vulnerable and marginalized patients
Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong organizational and time management skills
Working knowledge in mental health & addictions, experience is an asset
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in patient care
Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in Alberta
