Position Summary:
The Material Handler will maintain designated functions within the Production and/or Machine Shop team. Tasks include receiving shipments, processing inter-branch transfers, cycle counting, order picking, kitting, shipping, customs documentation, and other duties or assignments as delegated.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely meeting De Havilland Canada company policies, procedures, and customer quality requirements relating to all Stores functions
Adhering to all regulatory and governing guidelines & manuals for handling, processing, and shipping materials
Responsible for the efficient operation of any specific stores section, including tool crib, as well as shipping and receiving
Assisting with the setup of periodic checking of physical inventory
Required to pack, ship, and receive all materials pertaining to the company and maintain all required records of material movements – this includes the issuing and raising of company packing slips, and maintaining records of all serialized components being shipped or received
Responsible for maintaining all the required records for international shipments including customs documentation
Responsible for the delivery, receipt and security of materials
Picking & issuing materials to corresponding orders
Verifying orders
Safely operate a stand-up reach truck and/or counterbalance forklift.
Safely handle manual pallet jack, carts, ladders, stair ladders, and other equipment within the warehouse (MHE).
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
Complete any other duties or assignments as delegated by lead hand and/or manager.
Qualifications:

High school diploma
2–5 years of experience in international shipping is considered an asset
2+ years’ experience shipping dangerous goods is considered an asset
Forklift/reach truck certification is considered an asset
Experienced in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) & ERP systems.
