Harvard Developments Corporation is seeking a Manager, Capital Projects to join its Facility Management Division in either Edmonton or Calgary.

The Manager, Capital Projects will:
Oversee the performance of the capital projects division, ensuring successful delivery of all capital projects assigned to the team, including coordination, contract administration, quality assurance, safety, and budget management.
Provide leadership, planning, guidance, and mentorship to the capital project team, ensuring the team is properly staffed and trained.
Monitor financial performance indicators for the business unit as well as all of the individual projects.
Guide the team in preparing long-range capital plans, annual work programs, and operational budgets.
Maintain strong client, contractor, and consultant relationships, focusing on achieving client and project deliverables and promoting Harvard’s service philosophy.
Oversee contract administration, risk management, and compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Foster positive stakeholder engagement with owner clients, tenants, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
Recruit, train, and support team members, reinforcing Harvard’s vision, values, and performance goals.
Participate in owner client meetings and presentations, and represent Harvard in the local construction, real estate, business, and service community.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and Harvard’s guidelines, processes, and procedures.
Respond promptly to opportunities for business growth and retention and practice competitive intelligence within the industry.
What you will bring to the job:
Proven leadership ability to lead, mentor and coach a team of project management professionals,
A degree or diploma in engineering or a related field.
PMP designation from Project Management Institute or similar accreditation; trade certification is an asset.
Seven to Ten years, or more, of experience in project management or construction management within a real estate and/or construction environment.
Strong organizational skills and above-average knowledge of contract law, regulations, prompt payment legislation, and bylaws impacting the real estate and facility management industries.
Superior customer service orientation with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Solid project management expertise with strong organizational, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Proficiency in computer applications and enterprise systems relevant to capital project management.
A personable, approachable, and decisive leadership style, calm under pressure, accountable, and trustworthy.
Keen understanding of Health and Safety regulations and best practice application to capital management.
