About the role:
Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture, the Coordinator provides administrative support for various People and Culture projects, programs, and procedures for our News and Audio departments. This role is vital to supporting Corus people, enhancing our culture of inclusion and creating a great place to work.
You will contribute by:
Providing administrative support on a wide range of HR activities and transactions, handling various People procedures and incoming queries from employees and managers.
Assisting in the administrative processes related to Hiring, Disability Management and other People-related inquiries such as drafting offer letters and employment verification letters, and advising employees on policies and processes.
Preparing various employee-related calculations and associated documentation based on relevant legislation and Corus policies.
Utilizing effective communication skills to provide proactive support for multiple markets across Canada.
Working in conjunction with the Manager, People & Culture on various projects such as, but not limited to, recruitment support, policy and process implementation, and other functional initiatives/programs as they arise.
Assisting with special projects, initiatives, reporting, and documentation as required.
Skills and experience you bring:
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).
1 to 2 years of relevant Human Resources experience, which may be through a combination of full-time work and internships.
An understanding of Human Resources best practices and Canadian legislative regulations (Federal) in order to provide sound administrative support. Exposure to collective agreements is an asset.
Positive and collaborative mindset with strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of MS Office, DocuSign, HRIS and the ability to compile statistical information.
Excellent planning, prioritization, and attention to detail to ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
Professional, friendly manner and exceptional customer service skills.
Commitment to discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive and personal information.
