The Opportunity
General Bank of Canada is looking for a permanent, fulltime Senior Analyst, Lending Support to join as a key contributor with the Bank’s Lending Support team. Consistent with the growth trajectory of the Bank, this is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to contribute to building the Bank of the future with considerable potential for learning, growth, and advancement.
The Senior Analyst, Lending Support is a key member of the Lending Support team, reporting to the Senior Manager. This role supports operational reporting, financial processing, and escalated partner inquiries, while contributing to compliance, risk mitigation, training, and process improvement initiatives. The analyst plays a vital role in ensuring efficient workflows and a positive experience for both internal and external partners.

Position Responsibilities
Support the development, maintenance, and review of operational reports, including performance metrics and service level tracking.
Assist leadership with data analysis and reporting to support compliance, risk management, and strategic decision-making.
Contribute to internal audits and reporting activities related to regulatory requirements and operational integrity.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Participate in initiatives that promote continuous improvement and a positive experience for internal and external partners.
Act as a resource for systems and tools used within the team, providing expertise and support as needed.
Support onboarding and training efforts for new and existing team members.
Perform general administrative tasks to support team operations.
Participate in testing and feedback for system enhancements and new tools relevant to the team.
Review documentation to ensure it meets internal policies and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate records and data entry for loan files, ensuring consistency and compliance.
What You Bring to the Table
Required Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of administrative experience, preferably in banking, consumer lending, or financial services.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Solid understanding of retail loan products, lending processes, and credit terminology.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., data maintenance, filtering, pivot tables).
Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Post-secondary education in business administration, finance, or a related field.
Experience with compliance reporting, risk management, or internal audits.
Familiarity with KPIs, SLAs, and operational reporting.
Exposure to AML processes or regulatory documentation.
Experience supporting system testing or enhancements.
Background in training or mentoring team members.
Proficiency in Power BI
Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend process improvements.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $55,081.96 to $74,522.65. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications.
