Position Title: Custodian

Job Summary: Custodians play a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests and staff at the club. The individual will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility, following a structured schedule and adhering to best practices in sanitation, health, and safety. The role’s attention to detail and pride in work will directly impact our guests’ experience. This role requires compliance with all applicable regulations established by provincial and federal agencies, as well as Chicopee's internal standards.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintain all required certifications and training up to date.
Ensure the health and safety of guests through proper cleaning practices and hazard awareness.
Follow uniform and punctuality standards at all times.
Participate in all mandatory pre-season and company-wide training sessions.
Support other departments when operational needs arise.
Accurately complete daily cleaning logs and documentation.
Perform custodial duties including:
Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors
Emptying garbage and recycling bins
Cleaning windows, walls, ceilings, and all interior spaces
Sanitizing and maintaining washrooms and fixtures
Removing debris and maintaining cleanliness throughout all public and staff areas
Replenish toiletries and hygiene supplies in all washrooms.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all janitorial closets.
Report any damage, maintenance issues, or unusual occurrences to management promptly.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Key Qualifications:
Self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Capable of lifting up to 20.4 kg (45 lbs) repeatedly.
Comfortable with physically demanding tasks.
Able to perform duties in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
Customer-service oriented, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Previous cleaning or custodial experience is an asset but not required.

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and occasionally fill in for shifts as needed.
Ability to supply and maintain your own uniform in accordance with our uniform policy.
