Why this role is important? ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a portfolio of customer accounts and ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments. You will play a key role in supporting collections, resolving discrepancies, and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain assigned customer accounts and ensure up-to-date records Process credit card payments and apply customer payments in the accounting system in a timely manner Collaborate with Distribution Team, Warehouse, and system administrators to resolve pricing, quantity, or shipping discrepancies Investigate variances and ensure accurate processing of adjustments and credit notes Monitor customer aging reports and follow up on overdue or disputed invoices Evaluate customer payment trends and recommend credit limit adjustments or escalation as needed Provide prompt and professional customer service via phone and email Review customer returns and issue credit memo accordingly Prepare and process adjustments or write-offs in accordance with company policy Maintain customer files, including supporting documents and records of interactions Report all Adverse Events (AE) and Product Technical Complaints (PTC) immediately or as soon as possible upon becoming aware of the event as per current policies and procedures Perform other related duties as assigned or as they arise SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Diploma in Accounting and 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting Solid knowledge of general accounting principles Computer literate, with the ability to learn new programs quickly and use them efficiently Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (mandatory) Experience with SAP is preferred Prior experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is an asset Flexible and adaptable to evolving responsibilities based on business needs Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Strong ability to prioritize and manage daily activities under tight time constraints Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels within and outside the organization Customer-focused, results-oriented, and highly organized Proven ability to handle stress effectively Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset Why work at Shoppers Drug Mart?
