Job Description: The Human Resource Information System Specialist, reporting to the manager of HR Systems and Data Analytics, is accountable for the configuration, maintenance and implementation of an Oracle, Kronos and ServiceNow based human resource information system, as well as development of HRIS applications
This position will be responsible for expanding and improving the current programming to create a robust human resource reporting system that meets the current and future requirements of the organization. Responsibility and accountability will include inquiry and service request support, release management, knowledge management, assistance with training and change management, business continuity planning, disaster recovery plans, master data management and reporting.

Knowledge and Abilities:
An understanding and commitment to the vision, mission and values of the region
Advanced working knowledge of various computer programs including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint; etc. For purposes of repost generation, must be proficient in spreadsheet and database applications
Solid Understanding of core HR business practices, including HRMS/ HRIS, recruiting, compensation, payroll, benefits, talent and performance management, labour relations, and scheduling
Knowledge of database management systems, SQL, Visual Basic and report building
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, consultative manner
Experience with Service Now, Kronos and Oracle HCM
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Must possess a current driver's license and/or have access to travel on short notice
Ability to facilitate multiple projects and demands
Well-developed knowledge of current programming practices relating to SQL, XML and/or ASP.net
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and high attention to detail
