Caretaker, St. Thomas More College
St. Thomas More College (STM), the Catholic liberal arts college federated with the University of Saskatchewan (USask) seeks a Casual (as required) Caretaker.
Reporting to the Facility Supervisor at St. Thomas More College, the Casual (as required) Caretaker will provide proactive cleaning services, with a focus on exceeding the expectations of students, faculty, administration, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs cleaning tasks as assigned, includes but not limited to cleaning washrooms (and all related fixtures), common areas, cleaning floors (use of dry and wet mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, automatic scrubbing machines and other related equipment)
Provides cleaning services in other areas as required to cover absences of other caretaking staff
Reports building deficiencies
Secures the building after hours
Provides efficient, courteous customer service to the St. Thomas More College community and visiting public when circumstances require
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Grade 12 diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate is required
Minimum of one-year of caretaking and/or cleaning experience in an institutional setting
A current acceptable criminal record check is required
WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification is considered an asset
