JOB SUMMARY This Co-Op is for the Winter 2026 term The Engineering Co-op Student will work at Interpro Pipe & Steel Research and Development Centre located just North of Regina, Saskatchewan for a period of 4, 8 or 12 months. As a member of the Research group, they will participate in product development projects, mill process optimization trials, and qualification testing and failure investigations. The successful applicant will use investigative techniques such as SEM/EDAX analysis, quantitative image analysis, sonic inspection, mechanical testing and metallographic analyses. The student will work as a team member and will participate in planning of trials, data collection and analysis. The position will provide exposure to all aspects of Interpro's operations including steelmaking, casting, rolling, and pipe forming and welding. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Project/Program Work (75%) Development of project goals and planning Metallographic/mechanical specimen preparation Mechanical testing, metallographic analysis, and/or other testing related to project Evaluation and analysis of results Preparation of formal report and review with stakeholder Trial Support (20%) On-site presence to answer questions, carry out and/or supervise trial and ensure data/samples are collected.
