Outbound Sales Agent – Optimy.ai

Reports To: BDC Manager/Director
Focus: Sales and/or Service (Role will be trained in both, with a primary focus determined by business needs at the time of hire)

Founded in 2016, Optimy.ai is an established eCommerce solution that helps retailers deliver personalized, high-quality service to customers shopping online. We’re currently expanding our automotive division and are seeking an experienced and results-driven Outbound Sales Agent to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you’ll manage a high volume of inbound and outbound communications — including calls, texts, emails, and chats — to generate, nurture, and secure qualified appointments for both Sales and Service departments. You’ll proactively engage potential customers through the Optimy platform, identify their needs, and connect them with the right representative to guide their purchase journey.
This role requires strong communication skills, CRM expertise, and a drive to consistently meet or exceed performance goals. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving dealership growth while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
Website & Lead Monitoring: Collaborate with the Optimy Tool to monitor website traffic, identify potential candidate interactions, and engage appropriately.
Pre-Sale Engagement: Deliver outstanding pre-sale experiences by understanding customer needs and offering effective solutions to drive recruitment and customer conversions.
KPI Achievement: Meet or exceed all pre-determined sales and appointment-setting metrics.
Inbound Lead Management: Respond promptly and professionally to all incoming leads, phone calls, and chats for both sales and service inquiries.
Outbound Prospecting: Conduct outbound calls for equity mining, lease retention, and service reminders/specials.
Appointment Setting: Schedule qualified appointments, ensuring accurate and complete information is recorded in the CRM.
Follow-Up: Maintain consistent follow-up with unsold leads, no-show appointments, and declined service recommendations.
CRM Management: Accurately log and update all customer interactions within the CRM and BDC systems.
Script Adherence: Follow established scripts and talk tracks while adapting to each customer to maintain a professional and positive brand image.

Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
1–2 years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or call center role — automotive experience is an asset.
Proficiency with automotive CRM platforms (e.g., VinSolutions, eLead, DealerSocket, etc.).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow-up streams simultaneously.
Proven ability to meet or exceed appointment-setting quotas and performance metrics.
Preferred:
Experience in both sales and service BDC functions.
Familiarity with digital retailing tools and chat platforms.
Bilingual in English and French is an asset but not required.
