Summary:
Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Director - Ingredients, this role is focusing on strategic sourcing, supplier selection and on-boarding, RFP/RFQ processes, and supplier management for non-commodity ingredients. This role requires strong collaboration with internal customers and the ability to create strategic partnerships with suppliers.

Primary Responsibilities
Develop strategic sourcing strategies for ingredients aligned with cost, quality, and supply continuity goals to attain ingredients required for business production needs.
Strong negotiation skills for contracts and pricing, especially for commodities and specialty ingredients affected by seasonality or global markets.
Manage 20-30 long-term supplier partnerships, especially for critical ingredients with limited sourcing options.
Support accounts spanning over $100M+ across the vendor category.
Assess and mitigate supply chain risks such as weather-related crop failures, ingredient shortages, cross-border or regulatory changes.
Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Quality, and Manufacturing to source ingredients that support innovation and reformulation efforts (e.g., clean label, reduced sugar).
Support cost optimization and product margin improvements through strategic sourcing initiatives.
Additional duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in Specialized Sourcing within a high paced, multi-plant food or manufacturing environment.
Experience sourcing in fruit or nut ingredient category is strongly preferred.
Experience in supporting accounts over $100M+ is an asset.
Knowledge of key bakery ingredients and functional additives is considered an asset.
Post-secondary degree in Business, Supply Chain or Finance is required.
Intermediate MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
Experience leading high volume of RFP/RFQ is required.
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP processes, preferably SAP.
Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization both internally and externally.
Excellent time and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and within cross functional teams.
Capable in multi-tasking, working on several subject and projects at the same.
Ability to reliably commute to our office in Etobicoke and North York as required.
