Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Contract Manager to oversee contracts related to mechanical, electrical, and civil works within our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be capable of conducting on-site contractor audits, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, safety standards, and cost controls. This role is essential to maintaining operational efficiency and contractual integrity across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full lifecycle of contracts for equipment installation, facility upgrades, and infrastructure maintenance.
Conduct on-site audits of contractors to verify compliance with:
Contractual obligations
Time sheets
Cost tracking and invoicing
Safety and environmental standards
Prepare and present detailed audit reports with findings, risk assessments, and recommendations.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and procurement teams to ensure contract alignment with operational goals.
Monitor contractor performance, project milestones, and budget adherence.
Ensure all contracts comply with industry standards, local regulations, and internal policies.
Support resolution of disputes, claims, and contract variations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 5–7 years of contract management experience in industrial, manufacturing, or recycling environments.
Strong knowledge of equipment and infrastructure used in metal/non metal recycling operations
Strong knowledge of metal recycling equipment, including but not limited to, shredders, shears, balers, eddy current separators, and conveyor systems.
Proven experience in field auditing, including verification of time sheets and cost tracking.
Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations relevant to industrial operations.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in contract management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience with scrap metal processing, or industrial recycling plants.
Certification in contract management (e.g., CCMP, MRICS, PMP) is a plus.
Bilingual (English and French)- French preferred.
Willingness to travel to operational sites as needed.
