Job Details: The Field Services Representative (FSR) performs a variety of tasks depending on the current operational requirements. These tasks include, but are not limited to; install and remove electronic simulations components on military vehicles (Tanks, Armoured Combat Vehicles, and various utility vehicles) with Weapon Effects Systems (WES) equipment, Fault finding and troubleshooting of all issued soldier worn Individual Harness Kit and vehicle equipment of the Canadian Weapon Effects System (CWES) equipment. Operating a computer to maintain records and schedules. Deliver instruction on all WES soldier worn items and WES Vehicle kits. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Instructs, demonstrates, and provides information regarding fault finding and troubleshooting of the CWES soldier worn and vehicle systems to military members • Supports the issue, return and training of CWES equipment to military members • Support for deployed military maneuver • Supports the installation and removal military vehicles with WES equipment on major military exercises • Works with Cubic engineering staff on all activities related to the instrumentation and field testing of developmental and deliverable WES equipment on to new vehicle systems. • Identifies and analyzes CWES equipment malfunctions to troubleshoot and maintain CWES hardware equipment during field operations • Provides technical support during all stages of WES exercises which includes interaction with Military Observer Controller Trainers • Troubleshoots, maintains, and conducts equipment exchanges on WES hardware as required. • Provides detailed written updates to the WES Vehicle installation manual and the WES Player equipment manual. • Provides updates on written lesson plans for all WES vehicles along with briefing instructions for use Use of computers and a computer-controlled test set to carry out work functions. • Maintain vehicle installation and de-installation area focusing on efficiency and safety. • Maintenance of records. • Additional duties as required Minimum Job Requirements: High school degree or equivalent plus a minimum of eight years military experience to include five years previous combat arms experience. Must have valid driver's license. Requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical ability to walk, stand and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb stairs is required. Requires the ability to lift 75 pounds. Requires bending, reaching, and fitting into tight places to perform normal duties. Available to travel nationally on a regular basis during military training periods as well as possibility of international travel. Bi-lingual capability preferred (Eng/Fr).
